Community
Classic Pianos of Washington is active in the Greater Bellevue /Seattle/ Everett Communities as a supporter of the arts and as a strong advocate for music education:
- Special Event Sales and Cooperation with University of Washington, Seattle Pacific, Bellevue College, and other area schools and colleges.
- Support of Washington State Music Teachers Association (WSMTA), Seattle Music Teachers Association (SMTA), and other educational groups.
- Support of Seattle Piano International concerts and festivals.
- Selected by KING FM to provide a Schimmel Model K213 for its live performances on 98.1.
- Sponsor of Gallery Concerts, Music in Intimate Settings, also featured on KING FM.
- May, 2011 – Launched inaugural Recital Series at Classic Pianos of Washington, Bellevue, played by concert pianist Gesa Lücker of Germany ― prize winner of the Bruno-Frey-Stiftung, of the Hanover Chopin Society, and of national and international competitions. She has given concerts as a soloist with various orchestras, and has played recitals worldwide … both as featured soloist and chamber ensemble pianist … including the large hall of the NDR Hannover, Yamaha Hall, Carnegie Hall (Weill Recital Hall) in New York City; and Wigmore Hall, London.
- Free Educational Seminars and Workshops on emerging technologies and music application for Clavinova, Disklavier reproducing pianos, and AvantGrand by leading U.S. Yamaha artists and clinicians – including keyboardist and inventor, Craig Knudsen, recent featured speaker at Intel's Visionary Conference.
- Support for concerts and events by the East Side Jazz Club
- Community Service / Free Music Education Seminars by Connie Wiebel, MTNA, on Teaching Autistic Children, Adult Creative Workshops, iPhone app, iPad app, Music Technology Camps, Special Needs Music Fulfillment, Clavinova Festival, piano ensembles, Disklavier Radio, and Direct Internet Access.
- Church Grant Program® for area churches and synagogues.
- Watch for announcement of future master classes and interviews with Mark Westcott, former Van Cliburn Bronze Medalist, scheduled for 2012 at Classic Pianos.
